Mr Tarus is a dedicated forestry and climate change expert with over 10 years’ experience in forestry and agroforestry system management. He holds M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management and M.Sc. in Climate Change. He works with Kenya Forest Service as a Senior Conservator of Forests. He is a member of the Green House Gas Inventory (GHG) Modelling team, REDD+ and Forest and Landscape restoration technical working group in Kenya.  Mr Tarus is the current chair the Scientific Committee of Forestry Society of Kenya. He is a member of the Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK) where he is registered as Lead expert on Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit.
